Phuket
Phuket is Thailand's most famous holiday island, with many beaches, large hotel areas, restaurants, nightlife, markets, temples, golf, shopping and boat trips. The region is suitable for many types of customers, but the right beach and neighborhood are decisive.
Phuket International Airport is located in the north of the island, so transfers vary a lot depending on the beach. Taxi, hotel transfer, hire car and local songthaews are available, but public transport is less flexible than in Bangkok.

Weather
Phuket has a tropical climate with a hot dry season and a humid rainy season. The dry season provides the best conditions for swimming, snorkelling and boat trips, while the rainy season can bring heavy showers, rough seas and more beach restrictions, especially on the west coast.
Transfer
Transfers are shortest to northern beaches and longer to Patong, Karon, Kata and southern areas. Traffic can affect travel time, and customers should match the airport, beach and expected level of activity.
