Destination

Lanzarote

Lanzarote combines classic Canariøy sun with volcanic landscapes, Timanfaya, whitewashed villages, vineyards, Papagayo beaches and holiday areas such as Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. Øya suits customers who want a simple sun holiday with more nature than just a hotel.

Lanzarote Airport is close to Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen, and transfers to the main areas are normally easy. Car hire is very convenient for Timanfaya, Teguise, wine regions, the north coast and several beaches, but many package travelers get by with transfers and organized tours.

Best months April, May, June, September, October and November are often best for sun, pleasant warmth and less pressure
Weather Lanzarote has a dry, mild and sunny climate all year round, with hot summers and mild winters. Wind can affect the feeling of bathing, especially in winter and spring. The landscape is volcanic and dry, not lush, but the weather is often stable enough for winter and shoulder season holidays.
Transfer Transfers are short to Puerto del Carmen and Arrecife, moderate to Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca is located in the south of the island and also has a ferry connection to Fuerteventura, while exploring the island is easiest by car or tour buses.
