Burgaskysten
The Burgas coast is Bulgaria's most classic package holiday area for sun and beach, with Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Pomorie, Sozopol and Burgas city as important anchor points. The region offers a lot of holiday value for money, but varies greatly from lively resort zones to quieter coastal towns with local food, old towns and seafront promenades.
Burgas airport makes the south coast easy for charter and package holidays. Many places work fine without a hire car if you stick to the beach and downtown, but a car or organized tours are useful for combining several coastal towns, nature reserves and historic sites.

Weather
Summers by the Black Sea are hot and sunny, especially July and August. Spring and autumn are milder and can be suitable for urban and cultural combinations, while winter is not a typical beach period and many resort offers are reduced.
Transfer
Burgas Airport is the main gateway to the south coast. Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Pomorie and Sozopol can normally be reached by transfer, taxi, bus or hire car; the travel time varies a lot depending on the resort, but the major holiday areas are within practical transfer distance.
